In 35 years of practice, he has tried civil and criminal cases in virtually every area of the law, including antitrust, securities, intellectual property, technology, environmental, construction, and malpractice. He is the author of “Expediting Pretrials and Trials of Antitrust Cases.” In addition to his trial work, Jim handles international commercial and trade regulation matters.
Jim has tried numerous complex antitrust, patent, and securities cases, including:
Successfully defending a $1.5 billion dollar antitrust jury case involving the salmon industry.
Civil RICO and fraud case for an international software and hardware manufacturer resulting in a $7,500,000 favorable verdict.
Sherman and Clayton Act cases in the dairy and poultry industries.
Trade secret-antitrust cases in the commercial aircraft industry and in the nuclear reactor fuel industry.
International antitrust case in the tool industry.
